To qualify for the Home Renovation Savings program, you must own your home.
Be an Enbridge Gas customer with an active account and primarily heat your home with a natural gas furnace or boiler OR be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and heat your home with electricity, oil, propane, or wood.‡
Eligible housing types include single detached or semi-detached homes, row/townhomes (excluding stacked townhomes) and mobile homes on a permanent foundation.
New build homes (i.e. homes that have been occupied for six months or less) and stacked townhouses do not qualify.

Cornwall Electric customers are connected to the Hydro Quebec electricity grid. Therefore, they are not eligible to participate unless their home is primarily heated by Enbridge natural gas.

Choose one of the contractors from the list of participating insulation contractors. They will help you choose the best insulation type for your attic, cathedral ceiling and/or flat roof.
Your participating contractor will complete your application and install your insulation.
After your contractor submits all required documentation, you’ll receive your rebate.

If your home has a heat pump, your primary heating is electricity. Cornwall Electric customers are connected to the Hydro Quebec electricity grid. Therefore, they are not eligible to participate unless their home is primarily heated with natural gas provided by Enbridge Gas. Contractor registrations for the attic program stream are currently closed; no new applications are being accepted. Only contractors on our pre-approved list are eligible to deliver attic rebates to customers. The six contractors selected for this program stream were chosen based on their strong historical performance in past residential programs, coverage across Ontario, and successful completion of our third-party risk assessment and program training.
This closed list allows us to focus on supporting enrolled contractors with the training and resources needed to meet program standards and deliver high-quality services. By limiting participation, we can ensure consistent delivery and maintain management efficiencies.
